As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I know a lot about nutrition, but Stephanie is the master when it comes to nutrition and fuelling athletes. After reading The Paleo Athlete I felt so much more educated on how to fuel my body for optimal performance. I have always loved the way Stephanie writes - she includes the science, but breaks it down in a way that is easily understood. A year after reading The Paleo Athlete, I still refer back to it time and time again and have recommended it to many of my friends throughout the passed year as well. In my eyes, this is a must read for anyone wanting to properly fuel their body for athletic performance.

The Paleo Athlete completely changed the way I focused on my training, especially my post work out nutrition and recovery. I had a competition coming up, and The Paleo Athlete really helped me to understand where I was falling short. I immediately started to make sleep a priority, as well as my post work out meal and making sure I was getting enough carbs. Shortly after every workout I would eat a good amount of carbs and protein to refuel my body, and I noticed a difference within the first week!
