    You know how sometimes, the most random meetings turn out to be the formation of beautiful friendships? That’s what happened with today’s guest and me.

    Last year, we both attended the same entrepreneur mastermind weekend in Utah. We didn’t know each other, but we arranged to ride from the airport to the venue together. Instantly upon meeting Nataly, I loved her energy and enthusiasm. As we drove, she told her story of immigrating to the US when she was barely a teen, how she founded a company called Happier…and subsequently, how she ended up at the lowest emotional point in her life.

    Nataly’s candor and vulnerability, her willingness to admit that she still doesn’t have all the answers, and her “it ain’t all roses” approach to happiness are something I appreciated very much. And right then in there, less than an hour after meeting, I knew I wanted to share her point of view with you.

    The truth is, most of us are being sold strategies to happiness that just lead to disappointment and feelings of inadequacy. Positive affirmations and “you should just think happy thoughts” are frankly BS. Tune into this episode to learn about how to stop chasing perfection so you can feel happier now.

    About Nataly Kogan

    Before founding Happier, Nataly Kogan was a digital media executive, venture investor, and analyst with prestigious firm in NYC.

    She immigrated to the U.S. as a refugee from the former Soviet Union when she was 13 years old. She started her life in American in the projects outside of Detroit.

    Nataly worked hard, reached the highest level of corporate success, and became a venture capitalist at the age of 26. She had a lovely family and was honoring the gift of being able to build her life in America. But she found herself unfulfilled.

    From her own personal pain, Nataly began to research happiness. Her discoveries and explorations of scientific research, as well as Eastern disciplines like yoga and Buddhism, led her to create Happier and dedicate her life and work to empowering millions of people with the tools to live their best lives.
