Meet Episode 51’s Guest, Dallas Hartwig

Dallas Hartwig is on a mission.

You may know his name from the popular nutrition program, the Whole30. But when it comes to his passions, food and nutrition only scratch the surface.

His new ventures extend far beyond what’s on our plates and out into the world of technology, social media, and face time (actual). Dallas sat down with me recently to discuss the mess we as humans are getting ourselves into and poignant thoughts for how we’re going to get ourselves out of it.

Not only is he someone whose work I truly admire, he’s a close personal friend, and I’m excited to bring you today’s show.

    1. This was an excellent episode. As one from an even older generation than you, I have found technology to be intrusive though there is so much good also. I will admit to getting hooked on the smartphone and fb, but maybe because I come from a generation that only had land lines and snail mail, I was able to put restrictions on my phone usage. However, I have run into the problem where so many associates don’t understand I am not married to my phone. I check fb when I have down time and use it more for informational purposes. I only check my email twice a day and texts three or four times. If something is important people have to call and sometimes it still goes to VM as I don’t always have my phone on me. People get really irritated but I have a life separate from my phone and It has reduced the stress level tremendously. Thanks for tackling this subject. Also, when will Dallas’ podcast start airing? What is it called? I did a search and nothing came up. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

      1. Hi Diana,

I’m glad the episode resonated with you! That’s definitely a concern, and I can see the frustration when there’s an unspoken expectation for you to reply or be available immediately.

Dallas’s podcast will be airing soon, and it’s called The Living Experiment. You can find a link to get on the email list and stay notified by going to: http://dallashartwig.com/podcast/
